Rika Kizu, a J-Beauty Expert

Born and raised in Japan, Rika continues to reside there, actively sharing authentic Japanese beauty practices globally.

From a young age, Rika had sensitive skin. By the age of 20, her skin had aged to that of an 80-year-old.

Driven by a strong desire to restore her skin’s health, she tried approximately 600 cosmetic products, spending around 10 million yen over five years.

These experiences led her to become deeply knowledgeable in skincare, and in 2004, she began her career as a beauty expert.

To date, Rika has delivered over 700 seminars to more than 12,000 attendees. She also authored a weekly beauty column for “Yukan Fuji” (Sankei Shimbun), a major Japanese newspaper, which ran for 93 consecutive weeks.

Men’s beauty is currently trending in Japan.Recognizing this trend, Rika launched a web media platform dedicated to men’s beauty called “TORIAEZU” in 2020.

While specializing in men’s beauty, the platform offers skincare and beauty content beneficial to all genders.

Rika fully produces the site, which features articles supervised by a team of seven medical doctors, including dermatologists and specialists in hair growth (AGA).

Currently, she’s developing an English-language version of the media called “J-Beauty by TORIAEZU.”
